The robe of the graceful wine is decorated with a deep red, intense colour, decorated with an orange tint on the surface. The gloss is medium and the viscosity is rich. The precise, fresh aroma is dominated by notes of fruit jams and a delicate note of liquorice. The palate is generous, firmed by noble tannins. Both the fleshiness and the delicacy are perfectly integrated into a harmonious finale. The overall style of the wine is captivatingly seductive and gourmandically appealing.

Château Pichon Longueville Baron
Château Pichon Longueville Baron (known as Pichon Baron) is located in the wine region of Pauillac. Pichon Baron was classified as one of the fifteen Second Growths (2ème Cru) in the original Bordeaux wine classification of 1855. Château Pichon Baron was once part of a larger estate, which, along with Château Pichon Comtesse de Lalande Longueville, belonged to Pierre de Rauzan. In 1850, the estate was divided into the two current Pichon properties. In 1987, the French insurance company AXA bought the winery and immediately appointed Jean-Michel Cazes of Château Lynch-Bages as its manager.
The grapes are harvested by hand and ferment for 20 to 30 days at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks of various sizes. The wine then matures in oak barrels for 20 months, 80% of which are new.
The Grand vin is prized for its combination of strong dark fruit, finesse, elegance, and ability to age for many decades.
