Immerse yourself in the legendary 2005 vintage with our exclusive selection of wines from three prestigious wineries. This tasting package features wines from Château La Dominique, Château Beychevelle and Château Beauregard, representing the best of Bordeaux.

Château La Dominique, Saint-Émilion, Grand Cru Classé:
Château La Dominique is located in the northwestern part of the Saint-Émilion appellation and was classified as Grand Cru Classé in 1955. The 2005 wine offers pleasant aromas of blackberries, liquorice, sweet blueberries and vanilla. It has excellent structure and expands beautifully in the mouth with lovely fruitiness and balance.

Château Beychevelle, Saint-Julien, 4th Cru:
Château Beychevelle, located in the Saint-Julien appellation, was classified as 4th Cru in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. This wine is predominantly based on the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, which gives it dominance, smoothness and supple power. The 2005 vintage offers a deep deep ruby colour, aromas of blackcurrant, cherry and forest fruits with nuanced animal notes. There are hints of vanilla, toast and leather on the nose, which adds to the extraordinary experience.

Château Beauregard, Pomerol:
Château Beauregard is a wine estate in the Pomerol appellation where traditional varietal composition is used. The 2005 vintage combines the elegance and fruitiness of Merlot with the delicate freshness and nobility of Cabernet Franc. The wines from this winery are renowned for their complexity and balance, making them a great choice for lovers of classic Bordeaux wines.

This tasting set consists of three 0.75 litre bottles.

Château Rieussec

Château Rieussec is located in Fargues, in the Sauternes appellation in Bordeaux. It produces sweet wines from the classic Bordeaux blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc and was classified as 1st Cru in the 1855 classification of Sauternes and Barsac, along with the best sweet white wines of the region.

In the 18th century, the estate was managed by the Carmelite order before it was confiscated during the French Revolution. After several changes of ownership, it is now under the Barons de Rothschild (who own Château Lafite Rothschild) in collaboration with Albert Frère from LVMH. Château Rieussec 2001 was ranked first on Wine Spectator's Top 100 list in 2004.

The 93 hectares of vineyards are predominantly planted with Sémillon, along with smaller areas of Sauvignon Blanc and a small amount of Muscadelle. The vineyards border those of Château d'Yquem to the west. The terroir in the Sauternes area helps spread Botrytis cinerea, and the grapes from Rieussec are harvested by hand as they are affected by noble rot.

The best grapes are used to produce the grand vin, which ages for 26 months in oak barrels, about half of which are new. The remaining juice is used to produce the second wine, Carmes de Rieussec, which ages only 18 months. The dry white wine, R de Rieussec, is made from a blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc varieties and is partially fermented in barrels.
