Taste excellent wines from wineries with Cru Bourgeois classification. The Crus Bourgeois du Médoc classification is a prestigious classification that focuses on the quality of wines from the Médoc region. It is selected every five years and evaluates wineries, not individual wines. The process includes tastings by experts, checks on growing conditions and the quality of wine production. The classification has three levels: Crus Bourgeois, Crus Bourgeois Supérieur and Crus Bourgeois Exceptionnel. Each level differs in the strictness of the criteria and the quality of production, with higher levels requiring better results in all aspects assessed.

For this tasting package, we have selected 3 different wineries, each with a different level of Cru Bourgeois classification.

Château Bellegrave 2010 with a Cru Bourgeois classification is one of the absolute Paouillac certainties. Thanks to the small vineyard (7 hectares), the vines here receive exceptional care, which each year results in a classic, very powerful wine typical of the appellation. The 2010 vintage is excellent, perfectly crafted, with an ideal balance of acidity, body and alcohol. The nose is harmonious and elegant. It reveals notes of blackberry combined with hints of blackcurrant, as well as notes of red fruit and a light touch of spice. On the palate, the wine is fruity, fresh, airy and concentrated. In the mouth, notes of blackberry, strawberry and raspberry stand out, along with light notes of black fruit and hints of liquorice.

The 2011 Château Cambon la Pelouse, with its Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel classification, is one of the most popular wines in the Cru Bourgeois category among Bordeaux wine lovers. The 2011 Cambon La Pelouse is very fresh, the flavour is well balanced, the alcohol doesn't hurt and the tannins are just right for the taste. There is also great ageing potential. This makes it a perfect wine!

The 2012 Château du Glana with Cru Bourgeois supérieur classification is a nice value from the St. Julien region, medium body with fresh cherry and plum notes, finesse and an easy drinking character.

This tasting set consists of three 0.75 litre bottles.
