Organic wine

Organic wine is made from grapes grown according to EU regulations for organic foods, with the production process also following established standards.

Organic wine is a great choice for those who want to care not only for their health but also for the environment. When growing organic grapes, no artificial fertilizers are used, or only in minimal amounts. The wine production process itself occurs without artificial additives, in the most natural and careful way possible.

Another advantage for people sensitive to sulfur dioxide is that organic wines contain about half the amount of sulfites compared to conventional wines. There are also biodynamic and natural wines—find out the difference between them.

In Bordeaux, organic cultivation is used by, for example, Château Haut Bages Libéral, Château Guiraud, and Château Beauregard.
