"The aroma is fruity, juicy, fresh and structured. It reveals notes of crushed ripe blackcurrant with hints of fleshy black berries combined with a touch of juicy violet, subtle hints of cornflower and subtle hints of spice and an almost imperceptible hint of sweetened fine tobacco. The palate is fruity, elegant and offers enjoyment, beautiful definition as well as precision, freshness and a sour/juicy framework. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackcurrant, fleshy/juicy blackberry and small hints of red berries coupled with a touch of juicy plum, as well as very subtle hints of chocolate, caramelisation and a touch of crushed almond. The tannins are elegant and structured. Good persistence. Lovely finish." 93 points out of 100, VertdeVin

Château Vrai Canon Bouché
Château Vrai Canon Bouché is beautifully situated above the Garonne River. The underground of this place is equally impressive, with more than 8 hectares of underground tunnels and former limestone quarries. The terroir of this place is considered extraordinary.
The château spans 13 hectares of limestone quarries rich in fossils. It shares the same subsoil as the excellent terroir of Saint-Émilion. The quarries were originally created to extract stone needed for the construction of Bordeaux's historical monuments. This entirely atypical and homogeneous terroir is truly rare. The soil is clayey.
At Château Vrai Canon Bouché, a strict program of grubbing up and replanting has been implemented. The old Merlot vines, which fully express the terroir, were naturally preserved. From 2006 to 2012, about 4 hectares were removed and replaced, primarily with Cabernet Franc, which is perfectly suited to limestone soils. In 2011, another 2.5 hectares were replanted with Cabernet Franc. Currently, the vineyard is planted with 30 % Cabernet Franc and 70 % Merlot.
