In 1950, Lucien Jugl bought the estate and managed it for almost twenty years. His outstanding qualities marked everything on the estate. This visionary founding father, cautious and intelligent, won over all who knew him. To this day he is the guiding spirit of the homestead, and modesty and liberality are still extolled. At the end of 1996, the third generation of the Jungle family took over the reigns of Chateau Pédesclaux. Brigitte and Denis Jugl had practical and attractive new buildings built, inaugurated the first 'green' harvest, introduced pre-fermentation leaching of the skins in the must and purchased modern and powerful farming equipment. The results of all this were immediate. The 2001 and 2002 vintages brought back memories of the best years of local wine. Subsequent vintages have already found their customers in an ever-expanding market, thanks in particular to the great taste of these wines. The aromas are firmer, the body medium-bodied, and the overall expression is good "pauillac". Vineyard Ch. Pédesclaux is adjacent to the famous Ch. Mouton Rothschild.

Château Pédesclaux
In 1950, Lucien Jugl bought the estate and managed it for nearly twenty years. His excellent qualities left their mark on everything at the estate. This visionary founding father, cautious and intelligent, charmed everyone who knew him. To this day, he remains the leading spirit of the estate, where modesty and free thinking are still celebrated.
At the end of 1996, the third generation of the Jugl family took over Château Pédesclaux. Brigitte and Denis Jugl built practical and attractive new buildings, launched the first 'green' harvest, introduced pre-fermentation maceration of the skins in the must, and purchased modern and efficient agricultural equipment. The results of this campaign were immediate. The 2001 and 2002 vintages revived memories of the estate's best years. Subsequent vintages have already found their customers in the ever-expanding market, primarily due to the great taste of these wines. A more restrained aroma, medium body, and an overall good 'Pauillac-style' expression. Château Pédesclaux's vineyard is adjacent to the famous Château Mouton Rothschild.
