An elegant Pomerol where Merlot dominates, but Cabernet Franc brings a sophisticated fruit structure that adds to its complexity. Overall, it is reminiscent of the wines of the Médoc with distinctive notes of cherry and blackcurrant that are subtly interwoven with floral nuances. A clean and refreshing wine with good structure and a fine finish. It will appeal to oak lovers thanks to its notes of cedar, vanilla, cocoa and chocolate. On the palate it is medium-bodied with strong tannins that lead to a medium-long vanilla aftertaste.

Château Nenin
Château Nenin is a winery in the Pomerol region, and like all wines in Pomerol, Nenin is not part of any classification but is among the highly regarded wineries in the appellation.
Château Nenin was originally owned by the Despujol family, who were likely the founders of the vineyards in Pomerol. In 1997, just before the harvest, Jean Hubert Delon, the owner of the famous Château Léoville Las Cases, and his sister Genevieve D'Alton took over the property.
The winery is one of the largest in the Pomerol appellation, both in terms of vineyard area (25 hectares) and its beautiful 19th-century estate. The vineyards are about thirty years old, but some vines are up to fifty years old. The soil of these vineyards consists of clay, gravel, and sand. The wines mature in oak barrels for 18 months, with 30% of the barrels being new. Thanks to the advice of the famous oenologist Michel Rolland, the quality of these wines has rapidly improved.
