The owner of the winery is Jean - Michel Cazes from Chateau Lynch Bages in Pauillacu. In 1981 he invested heavily in this winery and had new stainless steel vats installed. This has significantly increased the quality of the wines from good to sensational. The wine is aged in barrels for twelve to fifteen months. This relatively inexpensive wine is a pretty good equivalent of a good Cru Classé.
The wine is darkly coloured and fruity, with herbal complexity.
