Château Léoville Barton 2008 Saint Julien is an exceptional wine with a deep deep ruby colour. Intense notes of roasted wood mingle with rich black fruits such as black cherries and blackberries, and hints of tobacco and sandalwood. The palate is dominated by black fruits with a light meaty character, while the fine tannins are well integrated, contributing to an elegant and long finish. The wine has balanced acidity and alcohol, giving it a classic, traditional style. Ideal for immediate consumption and long ageing.

Château Léoville Barton
Château Léoville Barton is located in the Saint-Julien appellation. In the Bordeaux classification of 1855, the château was ranked as 2nd Cru. Since the 1980s, the quality has risen, and it is considered one of the most reliable wines in Bordeaux. The base of the grand vin is Cabernet Sauvignon.
In 1826, Hugh Barton, already the owner of the nearby Château Langoa Barton, purchased part of the Léoville estate, which then became known as Léoville Barton. The estate still belongs to the Barton family today. The owners truly believe in the enormous importance of terroir, and as a result, they produce a real Saint-Julien of great finesse and perfect balance, which does not tend toward excessive extraction and higher alcohol.
