The wines from Chateau La Dominique offer pleasant aromas of blackberries, liquorice, sweet blueberries and vanilla. The well-structured flavour expands beautifully in the mouth and shows beautiful fruitiness and balance.
2006 was a perfect year for the La Dominique style. With an almost Pomerol elegance, yet with its own unmistakable signature. Interesting flavours in a harmonious, delicate and fresh package along with ripe tannins.

Château La Dominique
Château La Dominique is located in the northwestern part of the Saint-Émilion appellation. Records of La Dominique date back to 1690, although it was first mentioned as a wine estate under its current name in 1785. The name is derived from Dominica in the Caribbean, where the owner made his fortune.
The local vineyard covers 29 hectares, and the soil consists of clay, gravel, and sand. The grape varieties are as follows: 89% Merlot and small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Since 2019, a bit of Malbec has also been added. The wines age in oak barrels for 16–18 months, with 60% of the barrels being new.
Château La Dominique was classified as Grand Cru Classé in 1955. The estate benefits from a good terroir similar to its neighbors, which include Cheval Blanc, Figeac, La Conseillante, and L’Evangile.
