Elegant and delicate, with medium body and aftertaste. Medium dark ruby red with garnet tones. Ripe red fruit aromas are perhaps a little volatile and there are also hints of cocoa butter. The red fruit on the palate has an uplifting, open and perfumed character. The fruit is supported by clean new oak and vanilla. The wine has medium weight with balanced to high acidity and balanced alcohol. A pleasantly elegant, medium weight wine with good balance. There is a clear improvement on Dauzac in recent years, the new investments have done their work.

Château Dauzac
Château Dauzac, a Margaux 'Grand Cru Classé' according to the 1855 classification, has the privilege of owning a single-block vineyard of 49 hectares: 45 hectares within the Margaux appellation and 4 hectares within the Haut-Médoc appellation. Located near the Gironde estuary, whose influence on the vineyard ecosystem is crucial, the property is protected from ocean winds by 120 hectares of meadows and forests.
The quality of the wines from this château has been consistently improving since the mid-1990s. These increasingly better wines mature in wooden barrels for 16 to 18 months, with one-third of the barrels being regularly renewed.
