Chateau Dauzac

Château Dauzac, a Margaux 'Grand Cru Classé' according to the 1855 classification, has the privilege of owning a single-block vineyard of 49 hectares: 45 hectares within the Margaux appellation and 4 hectares within the Haut-Médoc appellation. Located near the Gironde estuary, whose influence on the vineyard ecosystem is crucial, the property is protected from ocean winds by 120 hectares of meadows and forests.

The quality of the wines from this château has been consistently improving since the mid-1990s. These increasingly better wines mature in wooden barrels for 16 to 18 months, with one-third of the barrels being regularly renewed.
