Chateau d'Issan has been turning an increasingly friendly face to wine lovers in recent years. This trend has its detractors, but the wine itself is undoubtedly in favour. The harmonious, almost refined flavour is based on a solid skeleton and, despite its friendliness, does not detract from the wine's seriousness or dignity.

Château d'Issan
Château d'Issan is one of the most renowned vineyards in Bordeaux. The winery is located in the town of Margaux, southeast of the famous Château Margaux. Château d'Issan is situated on an island surrounded by a moat.
Wine from Château d'Issan was served at the wedding of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry Plantagenet, and Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph ordered it for his table at the Hofburg. This estate is an integral part of French cultural heritage.
Since 1998, the winery has been managed by Emmanuel Cruse, the youngest of the Cruse family. Emmanuel embarked on a path of systematic changes with admirable courage and determination. They improved everything that could be improved. By focusing on quality at Château d'Issan for several years, the wines exhibit remarkable charm and aroma, which is mature yet non-aggressive.
The estate covers approximately 53 hectares of medium-sized vineyards. 70% of the area is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, and 30% with Merlot. The vineyards produce 60-70,000 bottles of wine.
