Croix Mouton 2011 - the top quality of J.P. Janoueix's wines is very easy to get used to. Jean-Philippe Janoueix left nothing to chance this time either, and this year the grapes underwent an honest sorting on vibrating tables (he ended up using only 33 hectolitres per hectare of the entire harvest), resulting in excellent quality. Fermentation of whole and whole-cluster grapes was carried out in a combination of concrete, oak and stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged for nine months in barrels that were 33% new and 67% used for one year. Croix Mouton 2011 is a precisely made wine, modern and distinctive. The flavour has a great homogeneity.
On the palate you can smell cocoa and cherries with a light finish of strawberries.

Château Croix Mouton
Château Croix Mouton is part of the portfolio of the renowned winemaker Jean-Philippe Janoueix, who also owns other wineries in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Pomerol, Saint-Georges, and Saint-Émilion areas. The vineyard covers 70 hectares and is planted with Merlot (97%), Cabernet Franc (2.5%), and Petit Verdot (2.5%). The average age of the vines is forty years. The vineyard promotes biodiversity by allowing grass to grow between the rows of vines, which supports insect life and improves water absorption into the soil. Harvesting is done by hand, with a strong emphasis on quality.
Experts consider Château Croix Mouton wine to be one of the best buys in Bordeaux, given its price.
