Château Canon Pécresse
The story of Château Canon Pécresse is closely linked to the wine heritage of Corrèze from the late 19th and mid-20th centuries. These winemakers, primarily from Meymac on the slopes of the Millevaches plateau, leveraged their business acumen to establish vineyards around Libourne, the capital of Bordeaux's right bank.
Francis Pécresse (1883-1978) owned significant wineries in the 1950s and 1960s, including Château Trotanoy in Pomerol, Grand Corbin in Saint-Émilion, and Villegeorge and Duplessis in Médoc. After the war, he purchased the small Château Vray Canon Bodet-la-Tour in Fronsadais, which was transformed into Château Canon Pécresse in 2003.
Today, this more than 4-hectare estate is managed by his descendants, Francis and Jean-Francis Pécresse, a father and son duo who are dedicated to preserving and renewing the family passion.
