Bellegrave is one of the absolute pauillac certainties. Thanks to the small vineyard (7 hectares), the vines here receive exceptional care, which each year results in a classic, very powerful wine typical of the appellation. Even in the 2010 vintage it is excellent, perfectly crafted, with an ideal balance of acidity, body and alcohol. The nose is harmonious and elegant. It reveals notes of blackberries combined with hints of blackcurrant, as well as notes of red fruit and a light touch of spice. On the palate, the wine is fruity, fresh, airy and concentrated. In the mouth, notes of blackberry, strawberry and raspberry stand out, along with light notes of black fruit and hints of liquorice.

Chateau Bellegrave

Château Bellegrave enjoys an excellent location. The vineyards are situated between Château Latour and Château Lynch Bages, and if you're looking for great wine at a great price in Pauillac, where such wines are usually rare, we recommend Bellegrave without reservation.

Thanks to its small vineyard (9 hectares), the vines receive exceptional care, resulting in a classic, very strong wine typical of the appellation each year. The vineyard is planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Around 29,000 bottles of Château Bellegrave wine are produced annually. The wine matures for 12 months in barrels, with approximately 40% being new barrels. The second wine is Les Sieurs de Bellegrave.

There are several properties named Bellegrave in Bordeaux, including one in Pomerol, and a number of others named Belgrave. The wine from this Château Bellegrave is one that, once tasted, will make you its lifelong devotee.
