Chateau Bellegrave
Château Bellegrave enjoys an excellent location. The vineyards are situated between Château Latour and Château Lynch Bages, and if you're looking for great wine at a great price in Pauillac, where such wines are usually rare, we recommend Bellegrave without reservation.
Thanks to its small vineyard (9 hectares), the vines receive exceptional care, resulting in a classic, very strong wine typical of the appellation each year. The vineyard is planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Around 29,000 bottles of Château Bellegrave wine are produced annually. The wine matures for 12 months in barrels, with approximately 40% being new barrels. The second wine is Les Sieurs de Bellegrave.
There are several properties named Bellegrave in Bordeaux, including one in Pomerol, and a number of others named Belgrave. The wine from this Château Bellegrave is one that, once tasted, will make you its lifelong devotee.
