The fresh, sweet, lively and round palate is even better with its layers of sweet, earthy, tobacco-tinged fruit and fresh mint. This is already a joy to taste now, and will get even better with a few years of age. It's clearly a big leap up in quality and character, and easily the best vintage of Beaumont I've ever tasted. Château Beaumont
Château Beaumont is generally one of the most popular wines in the Cru Bourgeois category. Located near the Gironde between Margaux and Saint-Julien, it bears the name of Count Beaumont, a former owner of Château Latour. It has 114 hectares of vineyards that surround the château, which was built in an elegant mansard style in 1854.
In 2004, Château Beaumont received both the Agriculture Raisonnée certification (sustainable agriculture) and the 'Terra Vitis' symbolizing its emphasis on environmental and health protection. One of the emblematic Bordeaux wines, it is a classic representative of the style characteristic of Haut Médoc wines. It is a firmer, more masculine wine with a predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon, which will delight fans of Bordeaux classics.
