The second wine from the famous Château Palmer. At Palmer they have the role of the second wine perfected - a vivid, convincing and thoroughly professional teaser for the future gala presentation of the first wine. In a tough vintage, the wine is unexpectedly soft and rounded. There is less heft and power in the body, but the texture is good and the subtle minerality adds to Alter Ego's appeal. Velvety and harmonious. It has a stunning purple colour that is supported by a full-bodied aroma of small dark fruits. Blackcurrant alternates with vanilla notes and a hint of small forest fruits. Above average length. The wine has great potential for further ageing.
This wine comes in a 1.5 litre bottle called Magnum. The Magnum size is ideal for a gentleman for an evening out, for example.

Château Palmer
Gold and midnight blue are the two emblematic colors of the Palmer estate, representing its great vintage wines that are timelessly elegant and simultaneously modern. On one side stands the most noble tradition rooted in soil regarded by experts as the best of the best; on the other, an adventurous or even exploratory spirit supported by innovative methods, visibly symbolized by the somewhat unusual architecture of the château itself. This somewhat paradoxical trend is also evident in the vineyards, planted with a combination of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Château Palmer underwent extensive modernization, which included the installation of stainless steel fermentation tanks with temperature control. All vineyards underwent comprehensive geological surveys to investigate the deeper layers of the subsoil, allowing for scientifically precise analysis of an empirically observed phenomenon that people have yet to fully understand. From a scientific perspective, this soil is considered excellent, explaining why it produces such amazing wines. However, scientific precision never disrupts the unique charm and pleasure that connoisseurs will continue to experience when tasting wines from Château Palmer.
