"This cuvée is made with 95% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. This wine is deeply coloured, mineral, with liquorice and plum flavours. It is full of sweet, plush, licorice and black cherry fruit." 88-90 points out of 100. Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider

Château Vrai Canon Bouché
Château Vrai Canon Bouché is beautifully situated above the Garonne River. The underground of this place is equally impressive, with more than 8 hectares of underground tunnels and former limestone quarries. The terroir of this place is considered extraordinary.
The château spans 13 hectares of limestone quarries rich in fossils. It shares the same subsoil as the excellent terroir of Saint-Émilion. The quarries were originally created to extract stone needed for the construction of Bordeaux's historical monuments. This entirely atypical and homogeneous terroir is truly rare. The soil is clayey.
At Château Vrai Canon Bouché, a strict program of grubbing up and replanting has been implemented. The old Merlot vines, which fully express the terroir, were naturally preserved. From 2006 to 2012, about 4 hectares were removed and replaced, primarily with Cabernet Franc, which is perfectly suited to limestone soils. In 2011, another 2.5 hectares were replanted with Cabernet Franc. Currently, the vineyard is planted with 30 % Cabernet Franc and 70 % Merlot.
