Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron(known as Pichon Baron) is located in the Pauillac wine region. The wine from Pichon Baron was classified as one of the fifteen Deuxiemés Crus in the original classification of Bordeaux wines in 1855. Chateau Pichon Baron was once part of a larger estate which, together with Chateau Pichon Comtesse de Lalande Longueville, belonged to Pierre de Rauzan. In 1850, the estate was divided into two contemporary Pichons. In 1987, the winery was bought by the French insurance company AXA, which immediately appointed Jean-Michel Cazes of Chateau Lynch - Bages as administrator. A powerful wine, very elegant and robust with fruity aromas. The grapes are harvested by hand, fermented for 20 to 30 days at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks of various sizes. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 20 months, 80% of which are new.

Château Pichon Longueville Baron (known as Pichon Baron) is located in the wine region of Pauillac. Pichon Baron was classified as one of the fifteen Second Growths (2ème Cru) in the original Bordeaux wine classification of 1855. Château Pichon Baron was once part of a larger estate, which, along with Château Pichon Comtesse de Lalande Longueville, belonged to Pierre de Rauzan. In 1850, the estate was divided into the two current Pichon properties. In 1987, the French insurance company AXA bought the winery and immediately appointed Jean-Michel Cazes of Château Lynch-Bages as its manager.

The grapes are harvested by hand and ferment for 20 to 30 days at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks of various sizes. The wine then matures in oak barrels for 20 months, 80% of which are new.

The Grand vin is prized for its combination of strong dark fruit, finesse, elegance, and ability to age for many decades.
