Discover the exceptional wines of Château Lagrange, considered among the best in the prestigious Saint Julien appellation. This tasting package includes three iconic vintages that have been named "vintages of the century": 2005, 2009 and 2010 . Château Lagrange Estate, classified as 3. Cru in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, is known for its elegant and powerful wines that are ideal for long aging.

Vintage 2005:
An intense and structured wine with smooth full flavors and a long finish. It has a deep ruby colour and a complex nose with notes of violets, roses and pepper. The palate offers earthy notes, coffee, blackberries and fresh herbs. Ripe and rich tannins give depth to the wine.

2009 vintage:
This vintage is characterised by a rich aromatic palette that gradually opens up. It has a medium deep ruby red colour and classic aromas of cedar, blackcurrant and pencil shavings. Typical St-Julien with fine tannins, blackcurrant fruit and hints of meat. Roasted oak notes and nice acidity give the wine freshness and good length.

2010 vintage:
A solid and firm wine with a deep, dark ruby colour and a purple rim. Clean aromas of blackcurrant and cedary oak. On the palate, lively notes of blackcurrant supported by well-integrated oak. The wine has good structure, balanced alcohol and a pleasant acidity with a lingering finish.

This tasting set consists of three 0,75 l bottles.

Château Lagrange

Château Lagrange is located in the Saint-Julien appellation. The estate was classified as 3rd Cru in the Bordeaux classification in 1855.

The long and rich history of Château Lagrange began in 1796 when Jean Valére Cabarrus became the imperial count and Minister of Finance of Napoleon I in Spain. It was he who expanded the estate through numerous purchases until 1825. When the estate was purchased by a Japanese company in 1983, it provided the necessary capital for remarkable modernization.

The vineyard covers 117 hectares. The wines age in oak barrels for 21 months, with 60% new barrels. The effort continues—precise vineyard management and vinification of individual plots give rise each year to elegant and powerful wines with long aging potential.
