Aromas of new wood come through strongly in this firm, solid wine. The wood is a distinctive element adding spice and a charred edge. Underneath this flavour is a ripe fruit character - blackcurrant and berries.
This wine comes in a 5 litre bottle called Jeroboam. This is the equivalent of just under 7 standard bottles of wine. The size of Jeroboam is ideal for a variety of celebrations.
This wine is packaged in the original wooden box with the winery logo.

Château La Tour de By
Founded in 1599, Château La Tour de By is one of the oldest wineries in Médoc. The name 'By' is derived from the location of the vineyards, and 'La Tour' from the tower that dominates the estate. The château itself was built in 1876.
The vineyard spans 74 hectares, with the grape variety distribution as follows: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. The vines are at least 40 years old, with some even reaching up to 100 years. The soil is gravelly, typical of the Médoc region.
