Croix Mouton 2016 is a wine with a nose full of forest fruits, chocolate, vanilla and tobacco. The palate is again dominated by wild berries and blackcurrants, savoury spices and young oak, and is nicely balanced to form one delicious, drinkable whole.

Château Croix Mouton
Château Croix Mouton is part of the portfolio of the renowned winemaker Jean-Philippe Janoueix, who also owns other wineries in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Pomerol, Saint-Georges, and Saint-Émilion areas. The vineyard covers 70 hectares and is planted with Merlot (97%), Cabernet Franc (2.5%), and Petit Verdot (2.5%). The average age of the vines is forty years. The vineyard promotes biodiversity by allowing grass to grow between the rows of vines, which supports insect life and improves water absorption into the soil. Harvesting is done by hand, with a strong emphasis on quality.
Experts consider Château Croix Mouton wine to be one of the best buys in Bordeaux, given its price.
